Scheduled Site Maintenance
I will be bringing the site completely down for several hours sometime today/tonight for a total system upgrade. I will be wiping out the existing Database, and all users will have to re-register their profile info.
April Club Meeting - Maria Maria
We're going to have our April meeting at Maria Maria in downtown Walnut Creek. It was "The Cantina" for many years, so if you are familiar with "The Cantina" then you know how to get there.

Here Comes Everybody Talk - Clay Shirky
Clay Shirky discusses his recent book "Here Comes Everybody". In this video, he talks about how the internet and evolving social tools are creating an new environment for group action. Many interesting points, he very clearly illustrates how social media is empowering citizens.

Club Meeting - Roccos Pizza Walnut Creek
Our next meeting will be at 6:30 PM on Thursday, March 13. I have reserved the back room at Rocco's for us (2909 Ygnacio Valley Rd.).
We will have a brief business portion of the meeting to decide how we want to set up the club and discuss election of officers.

Meeting Location Ideas
We have not decided where to have our next official meeting. Pyramid turned out to be really loud and it does not seem like they can really handle our group. Does anyone have any suggestions? If you have any ideas add them as a comment to this post.
UPDATED: Come Watch Super Tuesday II Turbo at Pyramid Alehouse
We'll be joining the local democrats at AJ's in concord Pyramid Alehouse in Walnut Creek. to watch the primaries. They've got several big screens in the back room, and some nice comfy couches to enjoy. They have great Plasma Screens and Lots of excellent beer! The Obama Campaign people are going to be there, so it should be good crowd.
